Tuesday 24 September - house renovation discussions, Climate Council

Woke at 10am to fine weather. Lots of talk and argument at the house about what was to be done on the renovation, and how. Rita and Nico went up to the Mairie to talk to the guy in the Urbanism department, while I went to Intermarche to pick up a new printer to print out the quotes we have received so far (for tonight’s meeting with the tradies). Made donation to the Climate Council, a new private organisation in Australia set up to replace the Climate Commission which has just been axed by the new right-wing Australian Government. Caught up with some sleep in the afternoon and woke to find that some of the tradespeople (plumber, electrician  painter, windows) had already arrived. Rita and Nico talked with them for several hours (in French) about various aspects of the renovation (apologies for the lack of pictures for the past few days - not much to photograph when it's mostly talking).
