Thursday 26 July - painting, before&after, Rovi, CA attestation, Lauzerte

Well, today is the big day. I was up at 0700h, to do a final chamois wipe down, and then start painting the cabin roof. Once again I used International paint (Ivory), and this time I used just the small roller, which had the advantage of being able to reach under the side railings. After a while it became a bit of a hot job, so I just gave it one coat and was finished before 1200h.

Just the single coat made a huge difference, as shown by the before and after photos of the same piece of cabin roof below. But there are still some patches where the blotches show though, so a second coat will be in order tomorrow.

But overall, it’s a major improvement, as shown by this shot from above.

Later in the day, it became very HOT, and Rovi went up river for a cruise to escape the heat, while Rita went to collect an attestation of our bank balance (for the Prefecture) from Credit Agricole.

In the evening we went up to Lauzerte so that Rita could check out Miyu’s stall food for the Fetes next month, and we met up with Don and Laura who were attending Lauzerte Night Market for the first time. As the evening drew to a close, Rita and I went for a walk around the town and got some pleasant moonlight shots.

When we got back to Moissac, the moon was high in the sky on the far side of the River Tarn.
