Saturday 5 August - cool and overcast, deck scrubbing, Don&Laura, rally cars

The day started cool and overcast and stayed that way for most of the day. I watched the last of my AFL replays, when the Hawks beat the Sydney Swans for the second time this year, despite no one else beating Sydney in the past 10 weeks. This game proved that if the Hawks can make the Finals, then they will be a threat to all teams.

Since the day was still cool around midday, I took the opportunity to start cleaning the deck with a stiff brush to get all the flaky paint off. When I was about halfway through, Don and Laura arrived to pay a quick visit, so I had to stop work and sit down and have a cool drink with them. Sadly, they left too soon, and I had to go back to scrubbing the deck.

In the late afternoon, we went out to Intermarche to get a new printer and some provisions, and as we returned to the barge we could hear the rally cars arriving for the Chassalas Rally tomorrow.

It was a quiet day, followed by a quiet night, hence no photos for today!
