Saturday 9 August - AFL, enzymes, Chasselas Rally, late night beer

After last evening’s storm, the day began with light rain, then it turned fine, then hot and humid. I watched the AFL game between the Hawks and the Demons, with the Hawks running out easy winners and going to the top of the AFL Ladder.

After the footy finished, I realised I had to get back to working on the toilet )-: We were still trying to unblock the outlet pipe, so having tried vinegar and baking soda for the past few days, today we upped the ante and brought in the enzyme unblocker - let’s see how this goes!

During the afternoon, we heard the throaty roar of rally cars arriving in Moissac for the annual Chasselas Rally. About 100 cars assembled at the Uvarium Park, and they made quite an impressive sight.

After another day of sourcing materials and supplies for the house for the upcoming arrival of the band, we finished with a relaxing late night beer on the steps leading down to the quai on the Tarn River, as the sun sank behind the Pont Napoleon bridge.
