Saturday 4 Oct - last coffee, Aussies, cleaning and storing, last pizzas

Today was our last Saturday in Moissac for this year, so we marked the event with one last coffee at the Saturday Market. On the way back to the barge, we stopped in at the Chocolate Fete in the Market Hall. Then we got stuck into cleaning the barge for one last time. As we were doing this, there was a knock on the wheelhouse door, and we were greeted by a distinctive “G’day”. An Australian guy introduced himself and said that he was a neighbour of ours in Moissac. We tried to work out exactly where he lived in relation to our house, but eventually gave up and just nodded politely. We then worked out that he thought we were a different Australian couple who had just bought the house near the swing-bridge, across the canal from him. After chatting for a while, we agreed to meet him at his house for coffee later that afternoon, just across the canal from the Post Office. And so we got to meet up with Ken and Danni Symon from Adelaide!

After coffee with them, we continued up the canal to the house to finish off storing various house items, in preparation for the workers to return after we had gone home.

In the evening, we headed down for one last pizza at the Sunbeam Cafe.
