Our second year of cruising started earlier than the previous year, when we arrived in Moissac in mid-June. This came about after the Queensland State Government unilaterally broke a number of contracts that we had signed to conduct travel surveys in that state. Apparently, the lawyers told us, they can do that sort of thing and we had no means of recourse. So, very reluctantly, we laid off staff and effectively closed down the company. What were we going to do now? I know, let’s go barging!
