Sunday 27 July - DBA Meeting, lunch with NM&M, bass feet

Sunday morning saw the DBA (Barge Association) Board Meeting taking place in London. Since I couldn’t go in person, I joined via a teleconference facility. The sound quality from those in the room was not great, but audible. When Guy also phoned in later from France, I could hear him perfectly (and vice versa), so maybe everyone else actually at the meeting should also phone in and then speak via their phones during the meeting!

At midday, Nico, Miyu and Massa came over to the boat and we had lunch on the rear deck. Massa seemed to know that this was his first home, having lived on the barge all winter, and seemed entirely at ease on the boat.

In the afternoon, I resumed making more bass feet. Now that I have established a system and got all the measurements, it is progressing more smoothly, but I ran out of timber and will have to wait until Weldom open tomorrow to get some more to make the second set. Once again in the evening, we headed off to the Intermarche car park for more clutch practice
